Initial conversation
We will speak with you about the participant’s needs, the available home, and whether it is a good fit. We ask honest questions and we expect the same.

Assessment and planning
If we proceed, we conduct our intake assessment and begin support planning. For complex participants, we take the time to do this properly.

Transition planning
We plan the move carefully — particularly for participants coming from hospital, custodial, or crisis settings. A supported transition is a stable transition.
05
Move-in
The participant moves into their new home with support in place from day one.

Understanding SIL Funding

Does the participant need SIL funding approved?

To access a SIL placement, a participant needs SIL funding approved in their NDIS plan. If funding is not yet in place, a Support Coordinator or Occupational Therapist can assist with the assessment and application process.

Our SIL homes are designed for participants with complex support needs — including forensic and justice-involved backgrounds, acquired brain injury, dementia, and seizure conditions. If you are unsure whether a participant is suitable, contact us.
Yes — SIL funding needs to be in the participant’s NDIS plan before they can access a placement. If funding is not yet in place, we can point you toward the right process.
Yes. We encourage this wherever possible — particularly for participants who may find transitions difficult. Familiarity with the environment before move-in day makes a difference.
Support levels vary by home and by participant need. Our vacancy listings specify the support model available. Contact us to discuss specific overnight requirements.
It depends on current availability. Contact us directly for the most accurate picture of what is available and when.
We do not walk away from difficult placements. If a placement is under pressure, we have an honest conversation about what is needed — with the coordinator, the family, and the participant.
